Laurie Ellington, MA, LPC, RCC, HMCT, PCC, RYT
Co-Founder | CEO

Laurie is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zero Point Leadership.  She is also co-creator of the Integrative NeuroSomatic approach.  Laurie is among the pioneers who recognize that we change the world by harnessing the power of the connection between the heart and mind. Combining findings from neuroscience, mind-body research, stress resilience, mindfulness, and flow she helps individuals, teams and organizations change the way they think, feel, and show up in the world.

Laurie has over 24 years of experience in coaching, training, consulting, leadership, facilitation, and mind/body medicine, and is appreciated for her ability to evoke untapped capacities and eliminate outdated habits that get in the way of excelling.  She believes that gaining a deeper understanding of human relationships plays a key role in shifting out of status quo to move positive change forward. Her philosophy is that change happens from the inside out versus the outside in, and people have the solutions within them.

Laurie completed her coach training with the College of Executive Coaching, where she became a Certified Professional Coach.  She continued her coach training at the NeuroLeadership Institute, where she earned her certification in brain-based coaching.  Laurie also earned her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentials from the International Coach Federation (ICF).  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with expertise developing trauma-informed health and human service systems.  After her journey working in private practice as a psychotherapist, she became a change leader in health care reform.  Laurie is also a HeartMath® Certified Trainer, where she teaches people the physiology of building stress resilience to prepare for and adapt in the face of change and adversity. 

Laurie is Adjunct Faculty with the Office of Personnel Management’s Center for Leadership Development, where she facilitates Neuroscience of Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Brain Hacking Tools for Creating Flow States of Consciousness, and Stress Resilience/Mindfulness programs for federal government leaders within various agencies across the continental US and at the Federal Executive Institute and Eastern Management Development Center.  As a Mentor Coach and Adjunct Faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health, Laurie teaches meditation and coaching courses that support students in cultivating the competencies necessary for professional health and wellness coaching.  She is also an Associate Faculty at the University of Phoenix, where she teaches undergraduate courses in psychology, ethics, and critical thinking.

Laurie enjoys writing, dancing, and being in nature.  She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine and is a certified yoga instructor.

Paul is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zero Point Leadership.   He is also co-creator of the Integrative NeuroSomatic approach.  Regarded as a highly accomplished executive and team coach, leadership development strategist, speaker and veteran of the USNR/MMR with an extensive background in program/project management, change management, talent acceleration, organizational culture, engagement, and performance development, Paul has been exemplifying leadership excellence for over 27 years in the Private, Public and Volunteer sectors.  Considered an expert in the fields of NeuroLeadership, Somatics, Mindfulness, Resilience and Performance Optimization, he helps leaders and organizations create a culture of high trust and collaboration through the integration of cutting-edge strategies and techniques grounded in science-based research and evidence-based practices with innovations in leadership and talent development.

Paul is recognized for his skillful approach to inspiring leaders to align with their passion, disrupt limiting patterns, and purposefully develop the practices or rituals essential to upgrading human interactions.  His fundamental philosophy is that true leadership begins with self-mastery before one can effectively develop, grow and lead others.  He is a sought-after speaker for national and global conferences as well as facilitates corporate strategic leadership retreats and executive forums. 

Paul is also Adjunct Faculty with the Center for Disease Control University, the Transportation Safety Institute, the Federal Executive Institute and the Office of Personnel Management’s Center for Leadership Development, where he has facilitated science-based leadership programs to over 3000 GS13 – SES level leaders within various federal agencies across and outside the continental US.  In addition, he is a member of a Strategic Facilitator’s Panel with the National Science Foundation and is Coach Faculty with Linkage’s Global Institute for Leadership Development (GILD) as well as their Advancing Women in Leadership (WIL) Institute. 

Paul completed his coach specific training with the NeuroLeadership Institute and earned his Brain-Based Professional Coach Certification specializing in Executive and Team Coaching.  He maintains his Professional Certified Coach credentials from the International Coach Federation and has over 1800 hours of 1-on-1 and team coaching experience.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the US Merchant Marine Academy and was honorably discharged from the US Navy Reserves after (4) years of service.  Paul is completing his personal trainer certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is a 2019 Candidate for both the National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and the Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) Certifications through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, participates in philanthropic activities and is an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
